Part-Time Finance Assistant
Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper (1 Day per Week – equivalent to eight hours)
Location: Fully Remote, with the option for partial hybrid working if London based.
Salary: £14.50 an hour (equivalent to £116 a week)
Hours: 1 day per week (8 hours worked flexibly)
Contract Type: six months with the potential to extend.

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper to support our finance operations on a part-time basis, one day per week. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a background in bookkeeping, who is looking for flexible working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as Xero.
Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, donations, receipts, and payments.
Reconcile bank statements and company credit cards.
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare payments for authorisation.
Support HMRC submissions.
Assist with month-end reporting.
Liaise with external accountants and assist with year-end processes.
Maintain proper filing systems and ensure compliance with UK financial regulations.
Support with other reasonable administrative tasks (such as maintaining the equipment ledger)
Requirements
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance role.
Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero (preferable), QuickBooks, or Sage.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Knowledge HMRC reporting requirements is a plus.
AAT qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
